Wingfield targeted by burglars after money and items stolen during break ins




A village has been targeted in two burglaries on consecutive weekends, with money and assorted items stolen.

The first break in took place overnight between January 21 and January 22, when a garage and shed in Vicarage Road, Wingfield, were broken into and a Gepida Reptila electric bike, a chainsaw and some garden tools were stolen.

The second burglary took place overnight between Sunday and Monday at a café in Vicarage Road. Doors were forced open and money, including the contents of a charity box, were stolen.

Suffolk Police have appealed for information and have asked anyone who can assist with the first incident to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting crime reference 37/4027/24.

Those who have information about the second incident should quote the reference number 37/5316/24.
