Bunwell Road in Besthorpe to be closed for four days due to £5,000 carriageway work

A village road is set to be closed for four days later this month for more than £5,000 worth of carriageway repairs.

Bunwell Road in Besthorpe, from the junction with School Lane to the junction with Bunwell Road, will be closed from February 24 to 28.

Due to the narrowness of the road, the entire carriageway will need to be closed and a signed diversion will be in place for the duration of the closure.

The diversion will be C139 Bunwell Road, C572 Besthorpe Road, C572 Silver Street, C572 Norwich Road, C572 London Road, B1172 London Road, B1172 Station Road, C140 Station Road, C140 Bunwell Road and vice versa.

All residents should access their properties via Besthorpe Road and the west side of the closure.

The work which will cost £5,550 will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Infrastructure Department and their contractors.
