Heavy rain causes flooding in St Nicholas Street, Diss as well as surrounding areas

A deluge of rain today has caused flooding in parts of Diss and Roydon.

Water has been seen rushing down Diss high street and traffic had backed up either way coming into Roydon due to a section of the road being flooded.

Sue Norman from Diss Wool Shop took the below footage from her shop in St Nicholas Street, showing a pair of traffic cones being moved down by the force of the water into Market Place.

Farmer Charlie Clarke sent us the below images from his farm near Banham.

His land saw 38mm of rain in one-and-a-half hours.
