VIDEO: Hands in the air as giant clock is hoisted up at new Diss home
The time has finally arrived — a giant backwards clock has been put up in its new home in Diss.
Hopper Way-based company Reads Property Developments bought the Tobar clock, a one-of-a-kind artefact boasting a six-metre diameter and weighing two tonnes, with a winning bid of £1,175.
Radio controlled, it can be found at the main entrance of Diss Business Park, two metres above the ground, and features a life-size mannequin wearing constructors clothing sitting on top.
Managing director of Reads Property Developments Joe Read hopes it could become something of a Diss landmark.
“I’m really excited because it is just different,” he said. “For Diss, for everyone who drives by will obviously see this clock and remember it.”
Further additions to the clock include silver trim and a life-size mannequin wearing constructors clothing sitting on top.
