The fountain pump in Diss Mere has been getting its annual clean today.

The pump, which was bought by the Diss Rotary Club, 12 years ago, was cleaned by a three man team from Waveney Pumps.

The whole operation is expected to take most the day and also involves resetting the coloured lights.

Debris builds up in the pump's filters over time, which reduces its effectiveness.

The team first sailed out in a rowing boat before dragging it back to shore, before it was lifted out of the water by crane, and jet-washed.

It is run an maintained by Diss Town Council.
