Shocking footage of a vehicle ramming a family car on the A140 near Dickleburgh has emerged.
Jonathan Steward said his nine-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son were left “totally traumatised” by the incident, which took place during rush hour on September 16 last year, just past the Dickleburgh roundabout.
Mr Steward said there had been confusion at a roundabout, which lead the Ford driver to attempt to clip the back of his vehicle.
The Ford then overtook Mr Steward before coming to an abrupt stop, sitting motionless in the road with its hazards on for more than a minute.
After waiting, the driver of the Ford sped off, performed a U-turn and then attempted to ram Mr Steward’s vehicle head-on.
“Frankly, this was a terrifying ordeal from the start – I’m not sure exactly what was wrong with the driver or why they tried to ram us, but it’s scary to think motorists like this are out there on UK roads,” said Mr Steward.

“We were all hugely nervous that the car would return and he would do something else that could harm us.
“Both my kids have been left totally traumatised by the whole thing, as have I, and have now become really nervous whenever we have to go on a car journey.”
The footage – captured on a Nextbase dash cam – was submitted to the police.
Following a review of the case by the Traffic Justice Department, the case has been sent to the Crown Prosecution Service to seek prosecution for dangerous driving.
After initially throwing out the case, an appeal was made and a further review of the incident is currently in progress.
Richard Browning, director at Nextbase, said: “Unfortunately, road rage incidents are common in the UK, but this has to be one of the most extreme cases we’ve seen.
“Obviously, it’s never acceptable to ram another vehicle, but what makes this case so shocking is the fact that the driver of the Ford could clearly see children were present in the other car.
“Thankfully, Jonathan had a dash cam installed and was able to share this footage with his insurer and the police.
“Hopefully, the Crown Prosecution Service will take action and this driver will be punished appropriately.”
