A south Norfolk man who had already been disqualified from driving has been given an additional 12-month ban and a Community Order by magistrates.

Jake Riseborough, 24, of Bullfinch Drive in Harleston, was arrested on Saturday and admitted to driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance at Norwich Magistrates Court yesterday.

Riseborough had already been subject to a five-year driving disqualification after serving a custodial sentence, along with another driver, following a road racing incident in 2010, which resulted in the death of a passenger in one of the cars.

He was ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work, over a 12-month period, and to pay a total of £145 in legal costs, and will also be required to undergo an extensive retest before being able to drive again.
