Wortham Burgate and District Twinning Association welcomes new friends for town tour
A twinning association welcomed its German counterparts to Diss for what was their first visit to the area.
Wortham Burgate and District Twinning Association visited the likes of designermakers21, the Heritage Transport Fair and Bressingham Gardens with a group of 10 from Badbergen in northern Germany.
Linda Simpson, chairman of the association, said: “The whole visit was deemed a great success by both visitors and hosts.
“Our visitors appreciated not only the very varied programme, but also the friendship extended by hosts and members of the twinning association.
“These visits could not take place without the support of members, who generously gave a warm welcome to our new twinning partners.”
The association has also been twinned with Hédé Bazouges in Brittany, France, since 1992,
A joint visit from Wortham and Badbergen to Hédé Bazouges is due to take place next year.
