A tree caught on fire after a lightning strike in Long Stratton.

The incident happened on a farm on the A140, just after 3.30pm.

One fire crew from the village attended, arriving at the scene at 3.50pm, and used hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.

The incident was under control by 4.02pm.

A hail and weather warning was issued for the East of England by the Met Office today, while flooding has caused the A1066 in Diss to close.
