Roadworks are causing very long delays on the A14 in Suffolk this morning.
There are reports of 45 minute delays on the east and westbound carriageways either side of Stowmarket.
Delays eastbound are back past Haughley while delays on the other side of Stowmarket westbound are back to Claydon.
Traffic is also backing up on the A140 near Needham Market as a result.
A Highways England spokesperson said: “We are carrying out essential bridge repair work on the A14 at Hill House viaduct near Stowmarket.
“We are working with our contractors to re-open the road as soon as it is safe to do so and we apologise for the delays.”
Motorists are advised to avoid if possible.
