They can volunteer when they have time, be it once a week or once a month.

The town centre museum recently reopened for the current season, which runs until the end of October.

“It’s really fun and the main requirement is people enjoy chatting,” said volunteer Jan Smith.

“They don’t have to be experts in history and it’s more about making people feel welcome. We have some great and changing exhibitions and it’s also fascinating to learn about our history, too.”

“We’re also focusing on more activities for children.”

To volunteer, pop into the museum or email fodimus@gmail.com
