Beactive branch in Diss has closed

Another high street shop closed its doors.

Beactive Mobility Ltd in Mere Street, Diss, shut this week, with bosses citing high running costs as part of the reason.

The family-run business had been catering to elderly and less-abled customers in Diss for 11 years.

The shop was packed up at the beginning of the week.

Managing director David Smith said: “Part of the reason is the costs involved in running a store in Diss.

“We have to go out to see customers a lot and, with deliveries, it’s become very difficult to park in the town since the council changed all the parking rules for the rear of the store and the car park in Chapel Street.”

Current customers will be looked after by the company’s branches in Lowestoft and Norwich.

“We’d like to thank all our customers who’ve been to see us,” said Mr Smith.
