Midwich, in Vince’s Road, Diss, puts in plans for solar panels at headquarters

Diss’ biggest employer is seeking planning permission to install solar panels on its roof space.

Midwich has submitted plans to site 260 panels on its HQ in Vince’s Road in a bid to slash energy costs.

The business, which distributes audio-visual products – achieved a pre-tax profit of more than £50 million in 2023 – a first for the company.

Bosses have launched a number of sustainability pledges as part of a commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

South Norfolk Council will rule on the planning application.
