Tommy figures’ knives taken in Long Stratton damage

A quartet of Remembrance Day Tommy figures have had their knives taken in a spate of criminal damage.

The figures, which were part of a set of five displayed across Long Stratton by its town council, were found to be damaged when they were collected on November 26.

The ‘knife’ section of their depicted weapons were removed sometime between November 23 and 26 from the figures in Swan Lane’s Memorial Garden, the Village Hall and the Congregational Church in Ipswich Road and The Plain.
