Long Stratton High School teens edge closer to dream Costa Rica trip with table-top sale
Students with an eye for a very big prize put their selling skills to the test at the weekend to raise money for a trip of a lifetime.
Year 10 and 11 pupils at Long Stratton High School held a table-top sale on Saturday to help towards the £5,000 cost of a month-long educational trip to Costa Rica in July.
Louisa Foulds, who helped to organise the event as part of her pastoral support role, said the students really did well.
“The event was brilliant and the children, who were a part of it, came away with £109 each for their totals,” she said.
“Each one of the students has worked really hard throughout the year, doing quizzes, car washes and other community events to raise the money. The community has also really come together to help them as well and we are so grateful for all they have done.”
