Teenagers charged following lead theft from roof




Two teenagers have been charged with theft and criminal damage after being caught stripping lead from a roof in Long Stratton.

Police were called at around 5.15pm on Sunday, October 6 to reports of suspicious activity on the roof of a premises off Swan Lane.

The boys were arrested at the scene and charged the following day, Monday, October 7.

A police spokesman said: "Two teenage boys have been charged with theft and criminal damage following an incident in Long Stratton."

Police also said that more stolen property was recovered when the home address of one of the boys was searched.
