Vehicle fire at Brome Industrial Park, near Eye, being treated as arson after more than £300,000 in damage




A fire in a village near Eye which caused more than £300,000 in damage to vehicles is being treated as an arson.

Emergency services were alerted to Brome Industrial Park at 6.40pm on Sunday.

When officers arrived, they found that two high-value commercial vehicles – a Ford transit van and a lorry – had been destroyed in a fire.

Although no one was hurt, Suffolk Police said the blaze caused ‘in excess’ of £300,000 in damage.

As a result, they are treating the incident as an arson and are appealing for witnesses.
