Suffolk named as one of 36 areas seeing spike in coronavirus cases
Suffolk is one of the 36 areas in the UK seeing an up-tick in coronavirus cases, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.
The county has seen five new cases in the past fortnight, which despite being comparatively small compared to other regions, is a sharp increase for an area that has seen a decreasing number preceding weeks.
The worrying news comes on the day that Leicester has been forced to undergo a localised lockdown, after seeing a spike in cases over recent weeks.
The complete list of English cities, counties, and London boroughs which have seen coronavirus case rises in recent weeks:
- Barking and Dagenham
- Hammersmith and Fulham
- Isle of Wight
