Legends Comic Con II event returns to Stonham Barns with blockbuster weekend
Characters from a galaxy far, far away and beyond returned at the weekend – to the delight of fans of science fiction.
The two-day Legends Comic Con II event at the weekend saw hundreds of people descend on Stonham Barns Park to enjoy re-enactors from the likes of Star Wars, Ghostbusters and Power Rangers.
Jason Buxton, one of the organisers of the event and part of the Vaders Raiders cosplay group, said it was a successful showpiece.
“The weekend went really well and we have had nothing but positive feedback from everyone that came,” he said.
“It is just great to once again bring the comic con to Suffolk, and that people love coming to see it.”
As well as getting to rub shoulders with wookies and ewoks, visitors got the opportunity to see a range of displays and merchandise stalls.
One of the guests of the comic con was Michael Whiteley, who worked on The Empire Strikes Back, building tauntauns, a native creature of the snow planet Hoth.
There was also guest signing sessions with actors who had worked on film and TV shows, including The Dark Knight, Andor and Rogue One.
“We thank everyone that supported the event this year,” added Mr Buxton. “It continues to grow and we are definitely going to bring it back next year .”
