Suffolk businesses ‘thrilled’ after B1113 diversions removed weeks early
Businesses and councillors in north Suffolk say they are ‘thrilled’ and ‘relieved’, after a 20-mile diversion was removed five weeks early.
Concerns were raised earlier this summer when part of the B1113 was closed for works by Essex and Suffolk Water, resulting in traffic being rerouted.
The works were due to last 12 weeks, leading businesses like Finbows Yards, Collins of Cotton and Jeffries of Bacton to worry about a drop in summer trade, but the diversions have now been lifted.
Suffolk County Councillor Andrew Stringer said: “This will allow our vital businesses to have the rest of the summer regain some of the business lost during this difficult period.”
