STORM DORIS: More than 400 houses in Eye affected by power cut


More than 400 houses in Eye could be affected by a power cut as Storm Doris sweeps across the region.

UK Power Networks say they are investigating a high voltage overhead electricity line fault, which is affecting 467 households. It was reported just after noon.

They estimate power will be restored between 1.30pm and 2.30pm today.

Potentially affected postcodes include IP14 5 ,IP21 4, IP23 1, IP23 7, and IP28 7.

Police are also advising drivers to postpone their journeys until the storm has passed, with a number of road closures in force across East Anglia.

Winds of up to 80mph are expected across the country today.
