There is still time to cast your vote in South Norfolk Council’s Pub of the Year Competition.

The public are being urged to cast their vote by July 31, when the council will call time on the first round of the contest.

Neighbourhood winners will be chosen before an overall victor, scooping a £1,000 prize, plus the use of the council’s event team to put on an event of their choice for the community.

Deputy Leader Councillor Martin Wilby said: “Our pubs play a huge part in local life and through this competition we strive to support them, help raise their profile and make sure they’re here to stay.”

Last year’s winners, The Waterfront in Diss, are using their winnings to host a Pirate themed family fun day on August 22.

Vote by texting 80010 with ‘Pub’ followed by the name and location of the pub and why they should win, or email your nomination to pubs@s-norfolk.gov.uk or visit www.facebook.com/southnorfolkcouncil
