Harleston nail care business that's all about making customers feel on top of the world

For business owner Allie Eve, the service she provides is all about helping people feel relaxed, elegant and confidant.

Since founding her home-based business, The Nail Matrix, early this year, Mrs Eve has undergone training at one of the UK’s leading professional nail academies, Hazel Dixon Nail Artist Academy in Thetford.

The mother-of-two has also passed numerous courses and exams in an attempt to perfect her craft.

The 52-year-old, of Withersdale Street in Harleston, said: “My ethos is that giving clients perfectly polished nails instantly makes them feel more chic, pulled together and confident.

“I pride myself in my attention to detail and taking time to actually listen to what they want – all in a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere.

“Nail services are a luxury treatment and a place to unwind. A great nail service instantly makes you feel confident and ready to conquer the world.”

Artistry is also at the core of Mrs Eve’s business, and she passed 17 art courses during the first lockdown to sharpen her skill set.

“I have always been very artistic and also own a bespoke keepsake bear business, so I’m used to crafting beautiful creations from blank canvases; albeit on a very small canvas now,” she said.

Mrs Eve only uses hydroxyethyl methacrylate products, and has a selection of more than 200 pure and hybrid gel colours, along with a new colour collection for Christmas.

“I’m currently building my website, which I hope to launch soon, together with a new salon,” she said.

“I love that I am my own boss and I have the freedom to be in my own creative space.

“I’m now blessed with the flexibility to work my own hours, doing something I love, while giving me the time to be a mum, too.”
