Graham and Audrey Page from Harleston celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary

A couple have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their nearest and dearest.

Graham Page, 82, and his wife, Audrey, 83, from Harleston, welcomed family and friends to their Green Park home for afternoon tea to mark the matrimonial milestone.

Their long love affair started when Mrs Page, from Weybread, and her now husband, originally from Kenilworth, met while working at Richard Emms, a clothing factory in Syleham.

“I was working as a machinist and he was in the warehouse,” explained Mrs Page.

After courting, the pair married at Redenhall Church on July 25, 1964, and went on to have three daughters, Julie, Joanna and Nicola, who have, in turn, given them six grandchildren.

Looking back at their long life together, Mrs Page said the secret to a happy marriage was a lot of give and take, while remembering to staying as cool and calm as possible.
