A ‘well-supported’ Christmas Fayre in Starston has contributed more than £300 to church funds.
Held in the Jubilee Hall towards the end of November, cake, craft and book stalls offered a wide variety of items.
There was also bric-a-brac, a raffle, and refreshments.
Despite poor weather on the day, a steady stream of people visited the hall between 10am and 12.30pm on the day to browse an array of stalls.
The proceeds will help towards the running of St Margaret’s Church in the village.
Church treasurer Margaret Griffiths told the Diss Express: “It costs us £1,000 a month just to keep a church standing there, so £300 is quite a lot towards that at any time.
“Despite the weather the supporters turned out”
Miss Griffiths revealed the next event scheduled would be in May with the return of the Flower Festival, which would feature a number of events and an exhibition.
