The fundraising initiative by the Alzheimer’s Society is designed to spread some Christmas cheer while raising money to beat dementia.

Oaklands manager Ian Warrent said: “Raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society is a matter especially close to our heart as a large majority of our residents are living with dementia.”

The event has been adopted across the Kingsley Group, which Oaklands is part of.

Across the UK 1,600 staff members have donated several hundred pounds to Elf Day this year.
