A 62-year-old man who died following a three-vehicle collision on the A140 near Stuston on Friday afternoon has been named as Allan Kerrigan from Edwin Close in Wymondham.

Mr Kerrigan was pronounced dead at the scene after the Toyota Corolla he was driving was involved in the collision with a lorry and a BMW at about 4.30pm.

A 23-year-old man, described as being from the Diss area, in the BMW car, was flown by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where he remains in a critical condition.

The 23-year-old had to be cut free of the car by the fire service.

He was also treated by a Suffolk Accident Rescue Service doctor and paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service.

A third man – the driver of the lorry – was treated for shock.

Police are continuing to ask anyone who saw the collision, or any of the vehicles involved in the moments prior to the crash, to call PC Allie Cotton at the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Suffolk Police, by dialling 101.
