We want to continue working with our communities and encourage others to care about and take a pride in where they live

Councillor Kay Mason Billig, cabinet member for the environment, said: “The popularity of The Big Litter Pick is amazing. It is wonderful to see so many children getting involved and learning at an early age how important it is to dispose of your rubbish responsibly. We want to continue working with our communities and encourage others to care about and take a pride in where they live.”

The council will provide posters and leaflets to publicise community litter picks, and take the rubbish away.

All schools and groups that take part have a chance to win one of 20, £200 prizes to be spent in their communities and all groups that take part will be given a £20 voucher. To take part, email litterpick@s-norfolk.gov.uk or call 0808 168 3333
