Second 'malicious' false alarm call in Diss

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed they received a second ‘malicious’ false alarm call in Diss in two days, this time to alert them to a blaze in the early hours of this morning.

One appliance from the town attended Victoria Road to reports of a bin fire at 12.40am.

They arrived at the scene at 12.49am but left after ten minutes, when they were unable to locate it.

The police have also been informed.

Yesterday the Diss Express reported a call for a fire in Park Road on Sunday night was also thought to be a hoax call.
