British showjumper Joe Stockdale joins Redwings Horse Sanctuary as ambassador
A British showjumper has spoken of his pride at being chosen as the official ambassador for the UK’s largest horse welfare charity.
Redwings Horse Sanctuary has partnered with Joe Stockdale as part of its campaign to improve the lives of horses and donkeys.
Mr Stockdale, who has ridden at the British Showjumping National Championships and the Horse of the Year Show, is the son of Olympic showjumper Tim Stockdale.
The British showjumper, who has ridden since the age of four, has even adopted a group of equines from the charity as part of his new role.
“I am really proud to join Redwings as an ambassador as this charity is vital to help support and rehome horses and donkeys,” he said this week.
“I have adopted The Gangsters, who are a group of five miniature Shetland ponies and, apparently, like to get up to a bit of mischief, just like some of my horses.”
Lydia Booth, marketing and corporate partnerships manager at Redwings, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Joe has become one of Redwings’ official ambassadors.
“I am excited to see what we can do together to improve the lives of horses.”
