Harleston Primary School gets creative for town's annual advent display

Pupils at Harleston Primary School have been making Christmas nativity pictures for the town’s advent display.

The art, which includes various Christmas scenes and decorations, will be used in Harleston’s advent windows event throughout December, where shop windows will show off the Christmas pictures.

“It’s a great opportunity for the children to express themselves and get in to the Christmas spirit,” said Bev Beaumont, St Benet’s Trust community link co-ordinator.

“We were approached by Carol Wiles, from Harleston’s Future, to help out with the annual event, and we are always happy to be involved in community events, so we were keen to be involved.

“Every child took part in the pictures, and they will each have their names on a gold star to be added to each picture.

“It’s been really fun for them to use their creative, artistic side and to be able to express themselves.”
