Dickleburgh Primary Academy pupil, Hallie Martin, helps two charities with a haircut
A primary school pupil was inspired to have 11 inches of her hair cut off to help two charities.
Hallie Martin, who attends Dickleburgh Primary Academy, decided to take the step after talking to her mum, Tracey.
The six-year-old, whose new hair cut still reaches her shoulders, was keen to donate her locks to the Little Princess Trust.
She also raised £570 to give to family friend Lisa Clarke, who is running the London Marathon next month for Children with Cancer UK.
Hallie’s mum said: “She had wanted to have her hair cut off for a while.
“Then, we were talking about children with cancer and how they lose their hair, so Hallie said she wanted to donate some of hers.”
The school held a special assembly to present Hallie, pictured, with her certificate and praise her for her fundraising efforts.
Mrs Mobbs added: “Her dad Sam and I are so very proud of her, especially as she decided she wanted to do this all on her own.”
