Santa takes a break out his busy Christmas schedule to visit Diss
Santa Clause took time out of his busy Christmas schedule to stop in Diss last week.
Saint Nick himself was joined by his band of elf helpers as they posed for pictures on Saturday December 19 and Wednesday December 23 by the Mere in an effort to bring some Christmas spirit amidst a difficult year.
Arranged by Diss Waveney Rotary Club, donations were for a number of local charities were taken before they took off to carry on spreading Christmas cheer.
Beverley Blake, president of the Rotary Club, said his visit was much needed, given so many events had been called off this year.
She said: “ When so many of the Christmas festivities have been put on hold this year, it was heart-warming that our club could offer our local community some Christmas Cheer to one and all.”
The money raised will go to the Diss branch of the Salvation Army, amongst other charities.
