Rosedale Funeral Home will kick off its bereavement support groups once again in Diss and Attleborough later this month to help people cope with the loss of loved ones.

Starting on Tuesday, January 27, the group will begin an initial run of eight weekly sessions, led by qualified bereavement group facilitator Liz Chapman.

Ms Chapman said: “Grief affects us in many different ways and it can be especially difficult to cope if you’ve no one close to talk to.

“There are many myths surrounding grief and people say that you have to let go and move on in your life, but they don’t tell you what you need to accomplish that.

“The group is open to anyone who has lost a loved one – no matter how long ago or in what circumstances.

“Grief isn’t something that’s often discussed and it can be a huge relief for people to talk to others about their experiences. The feedback we’ve had so far has been very positive.”

The first of the sessions will be held on January 27 at Yard House in High Street, Attleborough from 10am until noon, and at Rosedale House in Victoria Road, Diss from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
