Denmark Street, Diss, near Fair Green, forced to close due to ‘essential’ repairs to underground cable




A road closure looks set to cause further delays for motorists in Diss.

Denmark Street, near to Fair Green, has been close due to ‘essential repairs’ to an underground cable.

Uk Power Network are working at the junction of Park Road and Denmark Street, close to Stanley Road.

The closure is less than half a mile from works by Cadent to fix a gas leak near Aldi in Park Road, which the company say is proving ‘problematic.

UK Power Network expect the work near Denmark Street to be complete by next Wednesday, February 26.

A spokesman for UK Power Network said: "Engineers are carrying out essential repairs to an underground cable at the junction of Park Road and Denmark Street,Diss.

“A road closure is in place to safely carry out the work, which is due to be completed by February 26.

“UK Power Networks apologises for any inconvenience caused and will return the road to normal as quickly as possible.”
