Reunion now charity match in Stephanie’s memory

A north Suffolk school reunion has transformed into a charity football match which will raise money in memory of former student’s mother later this month.

A Stradbroke High School ‘Team of 2006’ will take on the ‘Class of 2007’ (KO tbc), with all money raised being donated to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research for Stephanie Lummis, who passed away from Hodgkin’s disease in 2010.

A raffle will also be held, with prizes including two tickets to see Ipswich Town, who Stephanie supported, take on Blackpool at Portman Road on April 11.

Former student Charlie Reeves, 24, who is helping to organise the event, described Stephanie as “kind, welcoming, and warm hearted.”

“She loved football,” explained Mr Reeves, who lived in Fressingfield until 2009. “She always took me and Dan to training and matches.

“I live quite a way away (Bedford) and I speak to Dan quite a bit.

“It was more of an excuse to try and have a get together to see everyone we went to school with and I thought why not do it for charity?”

If you are able to donate a raffle prize, call Charlie on 07988 219 644. To donate, visit their page at https://leukaemialymphomaresearch.org.uk/people/charlie-reeves/stradbroke-high-school-class-2007-vs-class-2006
