I don’t like to complain, but I really do feel I need to get this off my chest, what has happened to our Christmas tree in Diss?

I certainly agreed with last week’s letter stating that Christmas lights say something about the spirit and pride of a town, so what does our Christmas tree say?

I feel we have been palmed off with a huge, dark, monster of a tree that badly suits the space, is horribly on the wonk with lights that look like they have been borrowed from a car sales forecourt and thrown on with no thought or creativity what so ever.

I have lived near Diss all my life and I make a point of choosing to shop in Diss to support the local economy, especially at Christmas time and I would like to see a real Christmas tree which brings light, life and friendly cheer to the heart of Diss. Our Christmas tree is depressing and I think the residents of Diss and district deserve better.
