Thetford rare caravan theft and Great Ellingham attempted caravan theft using angle grinder thought to be linked




Police have appealed for information today after two similar caravan theft incidents took place within two hours of each other.

The first of these took place in Watton Road, Great Ellingham, on March 18 at 5pm.

Two unknown suspects in a blue/black BMW and gained entry to a site by grinding the lock on the gates and on the caravan - a Super Quattro FB Twin Axle Caravan, before being disturbed by the victim.

In the second incident, between 6pm and 7pm on the same evening two unknown suspects in a dark-coloured BMW SUV used an angle grinder to access an industrial unit in Telford Way, Thetford.

The caravan, which is a rare Knaus Tabbert PEP 540 2018 model, was then towed from the scene.

Anyone with information can contact PC Christian Newbery at Norfolk Police on 101 quoting the reference number 36/17963/21 for the Great Ellingham incident or 36/17660/21 for Thetford.
