Diss District Neighbourhood Plan will be shaped by surveys filled out by residents before August 14

The Diss District Neighbourhood Plan Issues & Options Community Consultation Survey 2020 is now open to residents.

Policy for a range of issues in the district will be shaped by the neighbourhood plan, which covers seven parishes, once it is approved by referendum.

The survey, which can be found by clicking here is an important first step in the process as residents of Diss, Roydon, Palgrave, Scole, Brome, Oakley and Burston are consulted on their wishes.

Residents are invited to put forward their views for the Diss District Neighbourhood Plan.

Councillor David Burn, steering group chair, said: "We are inviting everyone to complete our Issues and Options survey, covering key elements of the Plan including proposals for sites in the area for housing. A postcard has been delivered to households in the parishes involved with details of how to take part and we are really looking forward to getting the results and seeing what the communities think should be included in the neighbourhood plan.

“Neighbourhood plans are, in effect, local planning documents that can shape how the area develops in

the years to come. They are a real opportunity for the community to have a voice when it comes to

development in the area.”

Five £20 shopping vouchers will also be given away at random to those who fill out the survey and include their name and email, with the deadline for sending surveys in set for August 14.
