A pair of Harleston Sancroft Academy Primary pupils will see their posters used in the fight against littering

A pair of Harleston Sancroft Academy Primary pupils will see their posters used in the fight against littering after winning a school competition.

Thea Bassett and Dorothy Highcroft won the competition, which was open to all the children at the school with the aim of raising awareness of the need to care for the environment.

Teacher Beverley Beaumont said: “We set up the competition working alongside Sam Oldfield, a parent and dedicated environmentalist, and we were thrilled with the enthusiastic response.

“Judging the entries proved to be a difficult task as the standard was incredibly high. However, after much deliberation, we selected two winning posters – one from the younger group and one from the older – which stood out for their eye-catching designs and clear, powerful messages.”

The winning posters will now be printed and displayed along School Lane and Redenhall Road near to the school.
