Pubs, bars and restaurants to close at 10pm in new coronavirus restrictions




All pubs, bars, restaurants and other hospitality venues in England must be closed by 10pm every night from Thursday, the Boris Johnson is set to announce tomorrow.

Establishments will be restricted by law to table service only.

The measures will be set out by the prime minister in Parliament before an address to the nation to be broadcast live at 8pm on Tuesday.

It comes as the UK's Covid-19 alert level moves to 4, meaning transmission is "high or rising exponentially".
