A public meeting will be held in Eye on Thursday over the potential development of 290 new homes on the edge of the town.

Organised by the town council, it will be held in the town hall at 6pm.

The potential plans are part of the Mid Suffolk District Council Core Strategy, from 2008, when at least 200 homes were allocated on the land north west of the town.

A consultation was held in the town hall in December last year to gauge feedback from residents, offering three options of potential proposals, set to be developed by the Pegasus Group.
