Developers of a proposed 120 home residential development in south Norfolk are holding a public consultation on Wednesday.

Taylor Wimpey were granted outline planning permission for the development, on land to the east of Chequers Road, Tharston, by South Norfolk Council in October.

The consultation will be held at St Mary’s C of E Junior School, Swam Lane, Long Stratton, from 3pm to 8pm.

It will cover an area of around 11 acres, with the developer stating they now intend to apply for reserved matters planning permission later in the year, which will deal with outstanding matters such as housing design, materials, layout and landscaping.

A statement from developers Taylor Wimpey read: “As a responsible, considerate dev eloper, we strive to ensure local people, businesses and community groups are kept fully informed of our proposals - and give them every opportunity to comment on our scheme so we can respond positively to local views.

“By attending our public consultation you will be able to find out more about our proposals and have your say on these detailed elements of the scheme. Your comments will help to shape our final proposals before our planning application is submitted later in the year.”
