Thelnetham White Horse could have a fascinating future secured if extra backing can be found

The White Horse pub at Thelnetham is planning a bright new future backed by its community, and is seeking to sell shares or receive loans to help it complete its fundraising.

The pub and farm has been leased by the local community for the past year, to prevent it being lost, and has become a hub of live music and social gatherings.

The community continues to raise funds to buy the pub, but still needs backers to help secure its future.

The White Horse hopes to expand in to brewing its own ale, growing fruit and vegetables on its farm and generating green energy for nearby houses.

Liam Williams, who helps run the pub, said: “This requires a lot of hard work and dedication – as has been shown by our wonderful team of volunteers and management committee.

“In February, we aim to buy the pub so it stays for good. We’re well on our way, but we still need support.”
