Praise for school as Commonwealth Day celebrated in Eye

The Commonwealth Flag was hoisted on Eye Town Hall on Monday as Commonwealth Day was celebrated.

Town mayor Maria Ford read the Commonwealth Affirmation, while Eye Primary pupils Sophie Frost and Fin Kelleher assisted her in hoisting the flag.

Mrs Ford added: “What a lovely morning. Particular thanks must go the pupils and teachers at Eye Primary for making today’s ceremony special. It was wonderful to have the children’s involvement.”
