Delays are expected as 25 metre pig ark to be escorted by police

A 25 metres-long pig ark will be escorted through south Norfolk later this week - expecting to cause delays for motorists.

Police will be escorting the abnormal load through Norfolk on Thursday, August 23.

The pig ark will be moved from Woodgreen Farm, in Wood Green, Long Stratton, at 10.30am to Docking Hall, Metfield.

Measuring four metres wide, 25 metre long, 4.7 metre high, the pig ark weighs 44,000kg.

It will travel along Hall Lane, A140, A143, B1123, among others.

Motorists are being warned to expect delays as the pig ark is escorted along its route.
