Police urge residents to be vigilant after calls and chalk markings in Long Stratton
Police are urging Long Stratton residents to be vigilant after receiving reports of a young woman making calls at homes in the area and chalk markings then being found outside some of the addresses.
There have been social media rumours that these may be linked to the theft of dogs – however chalk marks were also found outside homes where there was no pet dog, said a Norfolk Police spokesperson.
They added: “Most people have washed or wiped off the marks after finding them but police are urging residents to be alert for any suspicious activity.”
The police spokesperson said anyone who suspects that a crime is in progress should contact them on 999.
