Police appeal following armed robbery in Diss




Norfolk Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Diss yesterday evening (Tuesday, April 21).

A man, armed with what’s believed to be a knife, entered the Diss Food and Wine store in Market Place at approximately 8.45pm and demanded cash and cigarettes.

The man then left the store with a quantity of cash – no cigarettes were stolen.

No one was hurt during the incident.

The suspect is described as white, approximately 5ft 8 tall, wearing a dark camouflage hooded top, dark trousers and dark shoes. He also had a dark backpack.

Anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area between 8.30pm and 9pm are asked to contact police.

Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who may have dash cam or CCTV footage of the area between those times.
