PICTURE GALLERY: Hundreds enjoy return of Life Fest in Diss Park

Music and art filled Diss Park as the third Life Fest entertained hundreds of people.

The faith-based festival, organised by Diss Baptist Church, had a theme of faith, hope and love as it returned on August 31.

Event co-ordinator Ben Mansfield said the festival was a huge success.

He said: “We had so much positive feedback on the event again this year, with the festival undoubtedly bigger in terms of the volume of people coming through the park and the number of acts performing.

“It certainly feels like there is a space for Life Fest in Diss. When we started, we did not know what the festival was going to be, but this year, it felt as if it had formed its own identity.”

As well as various music acts, the event featured a children’s tent, face painting, arts and crafts, a photobooth and a graffiti board.

“We got some well-renowned Christian artists and some of the acts were world class,” said Mr Mansfield. “They may not get recognition on the radio every day but we had some really talented artists and I was really proud that they were playing on the pavilion.

“We just want to thank everyone who believes in Life Fest, as it is still something we are trying to work out as we go along.

“We also want to thank everyone for coming and supporting the event. We wanted it to be a positive day for all.

“As Christians, we wanted to share our hope but, regardless of faith, we wanted lots of people to have a good time and enjoy what we put on, which we think they did.”
