“The Inkpen family name is synonymous with beautifully illustrated and engaging children’s picture books and our families were treated to a rare opportunity to experience a real-life author and illustrator as she brought her characters to life. They had plenty of laughs and fun along the way, too.”

Children were invited to join in with actions and sounds as the stories unfolded.

They were able to help colour in her characters as well as taking part in their own art activity to design their own picture book character, making a pair of pirate hat pants or colouring in a sausage dog.
